Tutor

Hi, my name is Vicky, and I am delighted to be part of the Forest 1st Tutoring team. I have recently completed my Primary PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have over four years of experience working in a primary school, supporting children across Key Stage 2.

I joined Forest 1st Tutoring because I love working with children on an individual level, helping them build confidence, develop a love of learning, and realise that they are capable of achieving far more than they sometimes believe.

I am passionate about creating a calm, positive, and supportive learning environment where every child feels valued and understood. I know that every learner is different, so I tailor my teaching to suit each child's strengths, interests, and individual needs. Whether a pupil needs support with reading, writing, mathematics, SATs preparation, or simply a confidence boost, I aim to make learning enjoyable while helping them make meaningful progress at a pace that works for them.

I hold a First-Class BA (Hons) in Education Studies and have extensive experience supporting children with SEND and additional learning needs. Throughout my career, I have developed strong skills in behaviour support, adaptive teaching, and building trusting relationships with children and families.

Before training to become a teacher, I volunteered as a youth worker with military families, an experience that strengthened my understanding of how important encouragement, consistency, and positive relationships are in helping young people thrive.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time outdoors, walking in the New Forest, reading, and making memories with my family. I believe children learn best when they feel happy, safe, and encouraged, and that's exactly what I strive to provide. My goal is for every pupil to finish each session feeling more confident, motivated, and proud of what they have achieved. I look forward to supporting your child on their learning journey.
