​​​Forest First Tutoring offers 11+ mock tests to develop children's learning and understanding in the four main components of the 11+ syllabus while giving them valuable experience of preparing for and sitting an 11+ test.  Because mock tests simulate an actual test environment, it allows children to become familiar with the test format, time constraints and the question types. The experience is planned to enhance learning, build confidence and reduce any potential anxiety.

Children will complete 11+ tests over the course of the morning, similar to those that they will be taking in September 2025. The tests will be in the format of the GL Assessment for South Wilts and Bishops 11+, and will support  11+ exams set by local independent schools.  There are two tests (one for girls and one for boys).  Please inform us when booking which is suitable for your child.

• Girls will complete 3, 50 minute papers:  English, Maths and Verbal Reasoning  

• Boys will complete 2 papers:  Maths & Non Verbal Reasoning (60 minutes) English and Verbal reasoning (45 minutes)

TIMETABLE FOR THE DAY

​Timetable for BISHOPS 11+ exam (mainly boys)
8.55: Children arrive
9.10: Maths (25 minutes) followed by 5 minute break
9.40: Non Verbal Reasoning (35 minutes) + 5 minutes and four, 2 minute breaks between five Subtests

10.30 - Break 
10.45: English (25 minutes) followed by 5 minute break
11.15: Verbal Reasoning  (25 minutes)
11.40: Please collect children from the front of the school

Please note that the boys' timings have changed slightly (April 2025)​

8.55: Children arrive
9.10: Maths (50 questions, 50 minutes)

10.00 - Break 

10.10: English (50 questions, 50 minutes)

11.00 - Break 

11.15: Verbal Reasoning (50 questions, 50 minutes)
12.10: Please collect children from the front of the school

Our SEND support is second to none!

25% extra time provision is available for all children who have this as their normal way of completing tests in school. We also support children who need rest breaks, a reader and a quieter setting.

*Children will need to bring a clear pencil case  or polythene bag with 2 HB pencils, pencil sharpener, rubber, ruler and a drink and small snack for break.
