Hi, I'm Abby. I started working with children with additional needs as a volunteer in 2008 and never looked back. In 2018 I started my teacher training in Southampton secondary school, specialising in English, but I've worked with children and young people aged 2-25 in a variety of settings.
I've been lucky enough to share some fantastic experiences with children both in and outside the classroom including exciting results days for my GCSE students as well as helping young people explore the Science Musuem on their first outing without their parents. I have a passion for helping children and young people to meet success, whatever that looks like. I like to build strong relationships with those who I'm working with and use interests and rigorous planning to make sure we know where we are going and how we are going to get there.
At home I have two children who love sports and activities meaning we are always doing something. When I do get a moment to myself, you'll often find me reading a book or catching up on a drama series.
