Hello I'm Aniko and I was born in Hungary but have lived in several countries growing up which has given me a truly global experience.
After qualifying as a primary teacher and secondary teacher, I ended up as a private educator, working with a globetrotting family. I experienced travelling in private jets, on yachts and hydro planes. It was amazing but I prefer travelling on land. My best memories are of my time spent in South Africa and all the majestic and beautiful creatures I has seen there. The colours, the changing weather and the scents all around you are truly magnificent.
I have worked as a private tutor at families’ homes and have plenty of in school experience (including extensive SEN knowledge) with the whole curriculum, from the younger ones up to adults. I have worked as a National Tutoring Programme tutor to help students catch-up with their studies whilst also leading gardening classes for AQA exams and life-classes, like cooking classes. I loved these as much as I loved teaching English and Maths.
To me, it is very important that I draw the students into a space where they can feel comfortable and are able to speak freely about their challenges. In order to achieve this I focus on their interests, whatever it might be.
My hobbies are birdwatching, cat-sitting, Pilates and reading in the garden under a gentle sunshine.
