Hi, my name is Christie, and I am proud to be part of the Forest 1st Tutoring team, where I can provide personalised, nurturing support to help every child thrive. I have fourteen years of teaching experience, three of which I have been in the position of SENDCo, working with children across a range of ages and abilities, and I am especially passionate about supporting those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). I truly value the opportunity to work closely with pupils and their families, creating a supportive environment where children feel safe, understood, and ready to learn. I am deeply committed to helping children with SEND access the provision they need to succeed, both academically and emotionally. I believe that every child deserves to be recognised as an individual, and supported to meet their potential and flourish.
I take pride in adapting my approach to meet their unique needs—whether that means building confidence, breaking down barriers to learning, or advocating for the right strategies and support. I also understand how important it is to work alongside families, offering reassurance and guidance so that they feel empowered throughout their child’s journey.
With a degree in Primary Education , including experience as a SENDCo, I aim to create engaging, flexible sessions that allow children to progress at their own pace while celebrating every achievement along the way. I am passionate about making learning a positive experience, and I strive to ensure every child feels capable, valued, and supported.
