Claire Taylor

Hello, I’m Claire and I am proud to have been working in education for nearly 20 years; I wouldn’t want to do anything else! Predominantly working as a class-teacher, I have experience teaching students from Year 1 to Year 6 in mainstream schools. Within school settings, I have undertaken a range of roles including mentoring newly qualified teachers and leading English.

In other roles, I have provided private tuition, after school, to help accelerate progress at KS1 and KS2.  In addition, I have tutored many students, often KS3, who have not been able to attend school. This has often meant supporting children to re-engage with learning by nurturing self-confidence, reigniting trust in education and supporting transition to the correct educational setting. I believe that positive relationships are essential for making meaningful learning experiences.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, baking, walking and getting outside to explore the New Forest.
