Heather

Hi, I'm Heather, a teacher of 20 years. I have worked across the primary phase and into KS3, supporting children with their learning across the curriculum. I have a passion for teaching and learning and helping students to grow in confidence and self-belief, successfully progressing and succeeding at their own pace. 

I am a skilled academic specialist, having led Mathematics in two schools, as well as English, Science, ICT and languages, and have also worked as a specialist Maths teacher. I also have a wealth of experience in helping students to prepare for entrance examinations and GCSEs, as both a teacher and tutor. 

As well as working for Forest 1st Tutoring, I am currently working as a SEND teacher in a specialist setting, working with children with a range of complex needs - seeing my students develop their confidence, independence and early skills and understanding is incredibly rewarding, and I feel very privileged to have this wonderful opportunity.

My passions outside of my work are gardening, walking, cooking and spending quality time with my family, as well as enjoying nature and the great outdoors!
