Hi, my name is Jane and I am delighted to be part of the Forest 1st Tutoring team!  We are dedicated to ensuring that your child feels comfortable with their learning and  hope to understand and break down any barriers that may be stopping them from reaching their potential.  The team is incredibly caring, supportive and each and every student/family is highly valued.

I have been teaching for many years with extensive experience in mainstream, alternative provision and specialist schools. I have worked as headteacher in an all through specialist school (ASD and specific learning difficulties) with students ranging from 5-19.  In mainstream, I have worked as Deputy head with students ranging from 11-18 and worked as SENCO in two schools.

The subjects I specialise in are English Language and English Literature.  I very much enjoy seeing the progress students can make when given the opportunity to work on a 1:1 basis.  I love seeing how students begin to enjoy their learning and become proud of their successes.  

Your child will always be encouraged and supported by me to work at their own pace and as they become more confident, they will  realise that they can do things they never thought possible!  Your child's bespoke provision will be adapted to meet their needs and as they begin to feel understood and valued they will make progress. How exciting!
