Hi my name is Lara Witney and I am a highly qualified, mature teacher with twenty years of experience teaching children with complex and wide ranging needs.

My passion for education has enabled me to help children reach their potential through patience, encouragement and by building a reliable and sustainable working relationship with families. 

I am looking forward to working with students within the school system at home or online and I have an excellent track record of reaching children who are currently finding  their education journey overwhelming, celebrating every small step in progress at a level the student feels comfortable with be that verbal encouragement, praise or even a celebratory sticker! 

I am qualified as an english specialist but having led maths in a busy and successful school for many years, I feel mathematics tuition is my primary subject area. 

I enjoy Art and paint myself so am always happy to grab some pencils and get messy! I am so happy to have joined  Forest First and am eagerly waiting to work with the team.
