Louise

Hi, my name is Louise Schepens and I am one of the tutors at Forest 1st Tutoring. I have been teaching for 23 years and have experience of teaching from EYFS to Y7. I have been an assistant head teacher, alongside my role as a classroom teacher, and I have also completed my NPQSL. I now support families who have chosen to home educate their children.

I love building positive relationships with the children I work with, finding out how children learn best and meeting their individual needs. Seeing them grow in confidence and ability is the most rewarding part of the job for me.

I have a passion for reading and writing and love seeing the children’s imaginations and ideas come alive on paper.

When I am not working, I love being outdoors. I spend time walking my dogs and riding my horse and I feel very lucky to be able to do this in the New Forest. My two children also keep me very busy with all of their hobbies and clubs!
