Hi, I'm Michaela, a qualified primary school teacher who is passionate about helping children develop confidence, resilience and a love of learning.
As a mum to two teenage sons, including one with an EHCP for ADHD and dyslexia, I understand both personally and professionally that every child learns differently. I've experienced the challenges of supporting a child who struggles to engage with the curriculum, is reluctant to attend school, or finds learning at home overwhelming. These experiences have strengthened my belief in building trust, adapting my teaching to each child's individual needs, and helping them rediscover confidence in their own abilities.
Before becoming a teacher, I worked in the corporate sector, specialising in change management, Human Resources, and training and development. Alongside this, and continuing today, I have worked as a qualified swimming instructor. These roles have strengthened my communication skills and reinforced the importance of patience, encouragement and creating a positive environment where every learner can thrive.
I believe the best learning happens when children feel safe, understood and valued. My aim is to create a calm, supportive space where pupils feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning at their own pace.
Whether your child needs support to build confidence, catch up with learning or prepare for SATs, I am committed to helping them make meaningful progress while enjoying the learning process. I want every child I work with to leave each session feeling more confident, capable and ready to take on their next challenge.
