Hello, I’m Mike and I have been working in primary schools for fifteen years, twelve of which were in the role of a teacher. I started working as a volunteer, eventually taking on the role of a class teaching assistant before training to become a teacher. My wife and I recently bought a house together in Totton and are now expecting our first child, something that is incredibly exciting for us both.
Over the past eight years I have worked in a primary school situated in the New Forest. This had a beautiful nature area that inspired me to train as a Forest School Leader. Alongside my teaching responsibilities, I ran clubs and forest-based lessons for the children. It was at this school that I met Nicola and saw her passion for helping students with their learning first hand.
Outside of school I love to grow vegetables, spend time with my family and play computer games. Recently I have started dabbling with using the food I have grown to make chutneys and jams!
