Hi, I am Rebecca. I have been teaching for 13 years and have volunteered with children all my adult life! Predominantly working as a classteacher, I have also planned and led KS2 intervention and booster groups and one-to-one sessions, ensuring that children are given the best support at the right level and can have accelerated progress. I have also been a subject leader in schools for a range of subjects across the curriculum so I enjoy coming up with new activities where children can explore, play and create.
I thrive on building strong positive relationships with young people, finding out what interests them and what their hopes and dreams are. My aim is for all children to have success and to develop a love of learning through bespoke, adaptable and engaging activities. It is also important to me that young people feel they are supported and appreciated so that they can go on to be confident independent learners.
As a Mum of two, I recognise how important it is to build a partnership between parents and educators and to ensure communication is regular and useful. Understanding the juggle of busy family life is helpful too!
Outside of work, I enjoy crocheting, baking, reading and volunteering at my Church. I also love a walk along the beach or a run on a sunny day.
It will be my pleasure to work alongside your young person and I look forward to meeting them soon.
