Hi, my name is Rebecca and I am proud to be part of the amazing team at Forest 1st tutoring. As an experienced Primary school teacher, I have over 12 years of first-hand experience on how children learn in different ways. I truly appreciate that every learner is different and that learning should be fun and engaging in order to enable every child to succeed in their own, personalised way.
As part of my teaching experience, I have managed Maths and English across large schools. This has enabled me to gain a wealth of knowledge across the core subjects, in particular.
Additionally, I also have an MA in the mastery curriculum which reflects my passion for teaching in the most immersive and creative way which, meets the learner’s needs every time.
Aside from my extensive experience teaching in a mainstream setting, I also have been fortunate enough to work for a charity with children with severe learning difficulties. This experience equipped me with the knowledge of how to support varying needs, in the most inclusive manner. It also enabled me to build positive relationships with the families too, which is something I feel is equally as important!
Outside of teaching, I love to travel and visit new places. I believe that having an understanding of the world has enabled me to take those experiences into the classroom and make me a better teacher. I also like to bake, although I am not great at this - yet!
