Hi, I’m Sam. I’m a qualified teacher with eight years’ experience in primary education, alongside a psychology degree specialising in how children learn and develop.
I bring a calm, nurturing approach to my teaching, helping children feel safe to explore learning, take risks, and grow from mistakes rather than fear them. I’m passionate about supporting children’s confidence and self-understanding, and helping them recognise their strengths and the areas in which they thrive.
Outside of work, I’m a busy mum to two young children. Our favourite thing to do together is exploring new parks, usually followed by a café stop for a little treat! We love being out in nature collecting sticks and splashing in puddles!
Since becoming a parent, I’ve developed a particular interest for EYFS and the role of movement in supporting children’s learning and development. Through training as a baby and toddler yoga teacher, I’ve discovered the impact movement can have on wellbeing, regulation, and learning. I’m excited to continue developing this approach and to use movement as a tool in supporting children’s learning and emotional wellbeing.
