Sophie

Hi, my name is Sophie. I have been passionate about making a difference in children's lives since starting university.

I began my teaching career working in Year 1 and Year 6 in East London. It was a big, bustling, and diverse school, and I was lucky to work with a wealth of experienced teachers. I later moved back to Hampshire to live with my partner and have since taught in Southampton and Romsey, working with children aged 3–13. I am currently teaching Reception and have a real passion for learning through play.

In education, I’m particularly interested in: promoting wellbeing; supporting neurodivergent individuals; and making learning meaningful. First and foremost, I always strive to create and nurture positive relationships with my pupils because when they feel safe and secure, they flourish.

Outside of education, I enjoy spending time with my family: my husband, our three young boys  and our Golden Retriever. I love cooking and experimenting with recipes, getting outdoors, and practising Pilates.
