Turning Stories into Books: Erin and Penelope’s Publishing Adventure

Today, Erin and Penelope took an exciting step in their publishing journey. With guidance from their tutor Nicola, they visited a local printing company in Southampton to transform their stories into real children’s books.

Inside the Printing Process

During the visit, they learned how books are laid out, bound, and printed. From choosing the right spine strength to understanding page layout, the experience gave them a new appreciation for what goes into producing a book.

Looking Ahead

As they left the printers, Erin and Penelope were buzzing with pride and anticipation. They discussed timelines, and looked forward to sharing their developments with the other children in their tutoring groups who have also written the books.

A Transformative Experience

This project has brought stories to life and inspired a deeper love of storytelling. With each decision, these young authors move closer to launch day—and to making a lasting impact on their readers. Stay tuned for the big reveal!

Overall, my experience with TypeType has been nothing but positive. The site is modern, user-friendly, and packed with quality fonts with preview. I’ve used it for both personal projects and professional ones, and it always delivers. Whether you want a one-time font, a subscription, or even custom work, they cover it all. It feels like a one-stop shop for everything font-related. I’d recommend it to designers at any level.
