We are really excited to share some very special news.
Forest 1st Tutoring has been shortlisted for a national education award, and we are incredibly proud.

We have been named as one of 10 shortlisted companies in the 'Alternative Provision Provider 2026' category at the National Tutoring Awards, organised by The Tutors’ Association.
This is a wonderful achievement for our whole team and a very proud moment for our growing company.
Being shortlisted in this category means a great deal to us. This category recognises organisations making a meaningful impact in alternative education, including work with vulnerable learners, children with SEND, and young people who need learning delivered outside a traditional mainstream classroom setting.

Forest 1st Tutoring now works with a growing team of more than 50 tutors and staff, all chosen for their experience, professionalism and care for young people. Our team supports children with patience, skill and genuine understanding, making a real difference to lives of young people.
Over the last 18 months, Forest 1st Tutoring Ltd. has grown from a small team of a few tutors into a thriving education provider with more than 50 incredible staff. This growth has only been possible because of the hard work, dedication and teamwork of everyone involved. Our tutors and office team are committed not only to supporting children and young people, but also to developing themselves as educators so that we can continue to provide an exceptional service to our local community.
We would like to give special thanks to Becky Milner, who joined the team in January and has made a very big difference in her role as Alternative Provision Coordinator. Her care, organisation and commitment have helped us strengthen our work and support even more young people.
We would also like to give special thanks to Hilary Andrews, who has worked alongside Nicola Collings from the beginning to help build Forest 1st Tutoring into a company that is making a real difference to so many young people.
Our work includes supporting learners with SEND, dyslexia, anxiety, school avoidance, PDA, gaps in learning, and those who need education delivered differently. We also work closely with families, schools and local authorities to help children access the support they need to thrive.
Our after-school classes, where we specialise in 11+ teaching, maths, English and dyslexia support, are based in Landford, where we help children build confidence, strengthen core skills and develop a more positive relationship with learning.

We are privileged to be a local company supporting children, young people and families across our community. This shortlisting is a chance to celebrate our tutors, the families who trust us, the schools and professionals we work alongside, and most importantly, the children and young people at the heart of everything we do.
You can also vote for us for 'The People's Choice Award' by clicking here. We appreciate your support.

The winners of the National Tutoring Awards 2026 will be announced at the awards ceremony on Friday 3 July 2026 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London.
Whatever happens on the night, we are thrilled to have been shortlisted and very grateful to everyone who has supported Forest 1st Tutoring on this journey.
Families interested in accessing alternative provision, specialist 11+ tuition, maths and English support, dyslexia teaching or alternative provision can contact us to find out how we can help.
