At Forest 1st Tutoring, every young person is treated as an individual. We believe that meaningful progress starts with truly getting to know the children and young people we work with – their personalities, interests, strengths, needs, and aspirations.
We are proud to have a growing team of exceptional teachers and support staff who are highly skilled, compassionate, and dedicated to transforming the lives of our young people. Careful placement is at the heart of what we do. We take the time to thoughtfully match every young person with tutors and staff who truly suit their personality, needs, and goals. This approach helps our learners make the very best progress, whether their focus is SEMH support, academic learning, functional skills, or life skills.

Carefully considered tutor placement marks the beginning, not the end, of our support. We regularly communicate with parents, carers, and schools to review progress, provide updates and explore how we can continue to improve outcomes. We genuinely go above and beyond to ensure every child feels supported and valued.
Recently, we worked closely with Hampshire County Council to secure funding for a young person to attend a daytime centre with our staff. He is thriving in this setting, and staff are already seeing positive progress in both confidence and engagement. In another example, a young person with a passion for bikes was given the opportunity to work alongside Phil, a bike repair specialist based in Romsey town centre, supporting practical skills, confidence, and motivation through real-life learning.

We combine innovation with creativity to guarantee progress. Education does not look the same for every child, and we are passionate about providing opportunities that inspire, engage, and empower. We put young people first, advocating for learning environments that respond to their individual needs.

Forest 1st Tutoring works with children and young people who have EHCPs. Our team brings together qualified teachers, experienced teaching assistants, and specialist practitioners, including a speech and language therapist and ELSA specialists. We offer support in foundation learning, Functional Skills, GCSE English, GCSE Maths, GCSE French, and GCSE German, both face-to-face across Hampshire and online.
Accessibility is central to our approach as every child’s needs matter to us. If we don’t currently have the right specialist in place, we will take the time to find the right person.

At Forest 1st Tutoring, our work is guided by compassion, expertise, and accountability. If you would like to discuss how we can support your child, please do get in touch. We would be delighted to support you and your child on their journey.
