We are all experienced Primary and Secondary teachers at Forest 1st Tutoring who have
worked with Teaching Assistants (TAs) in our classrooms for many years. We all know how indispensable our TAs are in ensuring the best possible outcomes for the children we teach!
A report by the Department for Education in 2024 said that:
“Teaching assistants demonstrate a large positive impact on pupil outcomes when TAs
support specialist interventions. TAs delivering targeted interventions to small groups or
individual pupils can progress learners’ outcomes by five months (i.e. their progression is five months further along than it would be without TA support).”
Our Teaching Assistants make a huge difference in our lessons, supporting both students and teachers. They’re there to help our children with their learning, boost their confidence, and provide that extra bit of encouragement when it’s needed most. From giving one-to-one support to creating a warm, positive classroom atmosphere, our TAs play a big part in helping our students succeed.

So, we want to say a big thankyou to all of our TAs - to Jane, Evie and Ariane, for everything you do!
